Carpenter says that the actress rejected his proposal to portray Laurie Strode. Anne says she does not recall ever being contacted or given the role in any way by John Carpenter. It is possible that her agent turned it down for her without informing her. Glen Larson sent her an initial draft of a script to play a character in 1978's television series Battlestar Galactica. The character was not strong enough to warrant her acceptance of the role. Glen was able to write a stronger part with Sheba. The Living Legend, the first 25 pages of which she read and was subsequently accepted. The show lasted only one season. The actress starred alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) as well as co-starred along with Michael Moriarty in the horror movie The Dark Tower (1987).
