Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in the fields of theater, film and television. Aunjanue L. Ellis began her acting in the theater. In later years, she was a part in television shows along with independent and mainstream film. She gained fame for playing Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. Then, she made an appearance on BET's epic TV series The Book of Negroes. Her debut on stage in the role of Ariel as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. When it comes to film, she is best known for her role in movies such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. In the world of television, her role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
